    Dead Grant combi boiler

On reflection, I suspect this IS a seized oil pump. Is this a big/expensive job to replace?

    Dead Grant combi boiler

I'm looking for a quick checklist of faults for my boiler which has decided to give up the ghost.....again! Not out of oil. Not overheating. When the boiler is switched on it does very little, a few noises but nowhere near lighting up. - Any ideas? Cheers

Grant Combi 90 boiler - overflowing

Ok....someone has been out to look at this and tells me that the expansion vessel is kippered as well as the relief valve. How much would i expect to pay for this job including the parts?

Grant Combi 90 boiler - overflowing

I have one of these which has developed a permanent warm water flow through the overflow pipe. The pressure valve isnt reading higher than normal - any ideas what the problem is?

Grant Combi boiler, rising pressure and overflow

It's ok for h/w, the problem just occurs when the heating is on - does this narrow it down?

Grant Combi boiler, rising pressure and overflow

This has probably been covered a million times on this forum but if someone could give me a bit of advice on this one I'd be very grateful. I have a Grant Combi 90. On the pressure guage there is a wee red arrow pointing to 2 Bar. The pressure falls way down every so often and needs to be...

Creda Simplicity 1000 - Blocked pump?

I suspect I have a problem with the pump on my WM - I am told there is no filter on these machines? And if there is a blockage the pump will have to be taken apart (unlikely I'm going to do this!). Any ideas on this? how big a job? Cost? Worth doing? - the machine is over 5 years old and well used.

    Waste Pipe to Rainwater

If they are combined undeground, I cant see that being a problem - a lot of baths/showers connect into rain water drains in combined areas through half way up the rain water pipe. In my experience the problem only occurs when the storm and foul systems are separate.

    Combi Hell!

The boiler is about 5 or 6 years old. And the only thing I have paid for is the tiger loop and a single oil pump. The whole things strikes me as bizarre. How bloody hard can it be to fix this thing. It isn't a nuclear reactor!

    Combi Hell!

Yup, I think thats the one. He suspected that the oil pumps were a faulty batch initially but this clearly isnt the case. It's a flippin nightmare!

    washing machine drainage

Don't know about England - but thats an epidemic in Northern Ireland. Plumbers often stick the waste pipe into the nearest available drain!

    Combi Hell!

Over the last 6 weeks or so our Grant Combi boiler has broken down 10 or so times. The guy who has come out to look at it has fitted 4 new oil pumps, a new tiger loop and a (I think) a non return valve at the oil tank yet a day or two after he leaves the same thing happens. He is now talking...
