Gary, thanks for the response.....I will go for the water resistant ply.....the wonderboard method looks a little beyond my humble Diy skills. My question with thickness was to prevent any movement, I guuess 15mm is best? the extra 3mm probably won't make that much difference as the tiles...

I too am considering laying ceramic tiles on my bathroom floor, assuming the floorboards are sound, how thick does the aquapanel need to be?? In my previous house I layed 6mm ply over the floorboards befor tiling...I never had any problems. Thanks for any response.
