I have a leak from a flat roof in my garage, having removed the inner ceiling I can see the hardboard is sodden and split and now sags between the eaves letting the rain in. My bucket collection is being fully utilised

I intend to get the roof replaced in the new year when the weather is better, as i can't temporary repair the patch as it is all damp I considered laying a tarp over the leaking area until next year,......not sure about wind etc.....are there any better temporary solutions?

Cheers :)

You'll be doing it next August then by the looks of things here!

Bags of sand will also hold it down

Don't forget to roll it around some lath, before nailing the lath to the fascia - stops the wind tearing it at the nails
