Leaking flat roof advice

Hi, looking for some advice.
I have a flat roof that is leaking where the join is with our neighbours. What is the best temporary fix . I did debate whether to butamin some new felt onto the felt which is okay next door and then create a layer across the roof as a temporary fix until the roofer can get to us after Christmas. Unless there is anything better.
The roof is quite old and the stones have melted into the felt and there is some blistering etc so the whole thing needs replacing.
