Ok, so got home first thing ive done is take the front off the boiler and noticed that there seems to be some dried rusty coloured stains in the bottom and what still appears to be a small patch that is still wet (circled green in photo). Can’t Get Gas Smart Meter Due to Location of Stop Valve

Hi All, Tried to get Smart meters fitted a couple of times over the past few years, first when they were SMETS1 and now with SMETS2. Both times we have been told that they cannot fit the Gas one due to the pipes that connect to the meter being concealed within the cavity wall which apparently...

How do ISO Connector Pins Work?

Thanks all. It's this bit that confuses me. I assume the connector is for these blocks, however just not sure how. Those 16 holes you see on the pic plug into the back of the radio so they dont go in that side. Are they meant to squeeze in to the same slot as the blue wire from the other side...

Drilling Hinge Holes in Kitchen Cupboard Doors

Thanks for the detail, let me just try and get my head round this! :) Sounds similar to an idea i had which was getting a plank of wood the same height as the doors (i think they are all the same height) then drill the holes in the right place through that piece and then use it as template on...

Drilling Hinge Holes in Kitchen Cupboard Doors

Hi, Not a major issue but when the WM drains theres a gurgle that comes from the kitchen sink, it can just get a bit annoying. I have attached a picture of the current pipework, with the WM and dishwasher sharing the sink waste, was just wondering if there was anything inexpensive i can...

    Locate Wires Behind Wall?

I can see on one of our walls at the top of the stairs where a socket has been removed and repaired over at some point in the past before we moved in. I want to know if there are any electrical wires still behind it 1. for future reference and 2. If there are, i might turn it back into a socket...

Any Nest Pro Installers or Experience of?

Hi, To cut a long story short, i installed a nest 3rd gen thermostat myself 2 years ago, but the device itself has gone faulty so nest are sending me a replacement. As part of the deal, they are giving me a free pro installation too, however im not sure if theres any point as i will just...
