The regs may be a minimum, but with supplementary, it is possible to create a hazard where there was not one to begin with.
Think about why supplementary in kitchens was done away with when the 16th came in.
@cockburn Thankyou.
So, assuming that the cpc impedance has a positive temperature coefficient (like a tungsten filament in a light bulb). The relationship between voltage and current is no longer linear, because the resistance is not constant.
That does not contradict ohms law though...
Hardly a joke BAS, more a dangerous charlatan. I thought Amazon had stopped advertising his ramblings, but obviously they've decided that a little more profit outweighs a few more dangerous electrical installations.
Assad is able to continue to commit his crimes in part because of the rhetorical cover provided by journalists like Seamus Milne, Patrick Cockburn, John Pilger and even political leaders like Jeremy Corbyn and religious leaders like Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali...
Talking of regs, I had an email a couple of weeks ago from David Cockburn asking me if I was aware that the EAWR 1989 "demands that all conductors other than circuit conductors are bonded to earth?"
I must confess I had to tell him that I was not so aware, not even after having read them again.
...compared to ohms law which is in essence what most domestic calculations are based on.
I remember a book which was written by someone on here which went into domestic installations but I can't remember his name - might have been to the 16th edn regs tho (and definitely wasn't by Mr Cockburn)
A bit like getting an honest review removed from Amazon!
Out of interest Have you found anyone who agrees with you Mr Cockburn?
are is everybody still wrong?
Hi Angel (or greeny4 or Mr. cockburn or,,,)
enough of this sillyness about risk based lunacy and so on. There have been enough electricians tell you in certain terms that you may be in mortal danger from using the shower as it is.
Your life, your choice
Just to keep this...
Maybe - but no way is he 'my gas man', nor ever will be! What was 'my gas man' retired a few months ago, and this this was the first (and hopefully last!) time I had encountered this new (young) one, who came 'highly recommended'!
Kind Regards, John
Well i'm glad that's nice and clear then.
Totally. I have absolutely no idea what you're saying!
Surely if you were going to write a book like this you would have someone check the work/proof read it?
