Damp problem, in ground floor flat

Hello We currently have a problem with damp in the flat me and the Mrs live in. We've been in since November and decorated in the first couple of weeks, and this has started happening recently! Can it be the damp course? I can't think of anything else. My Mrs refuses to open the window to...

Loose tap - removing top cover?

Struggling to remove the top cover of my bath tap, I need to tighten it up. It's the very top cover in the photo. I can't get a grip on it, any advice?

Is there such a thing as an extra deep celing rose?

You mean this stuff? http://www.screwfix.com/prods/67781/Electrical-Supplies/Cable-Accessories/Connectors-Blocks/CED-15A-Terminal-Blocks-Pk10 It does, I said "Terminal Block" on my first post, meaning this? Maybe I have crossed wires. Not literally of course ;)

After Christmas I'll look at it. Some of the replies here make me think twice about the job, but I'll get onto it. Mark

Wow that was quick! It's three wires, connected using a terminal block. It's really tight for space in there. Here's a pic of the celing. I think it's plasterboard, but I am not sure, I am DIY Plank after all!! Perhaps you can tell me?

Is there such a thing as an extra deep celing rose?

There is so much wiring crammed into mine I had trouble screwing the "lid" back on! What I need (but cannot find) is a deeper celing rose. Anyone know of such a thing? If I've got the termionology wrong...

Need a little help with my immersion heater!

It's just the switches were confusingly labelled. I took pics but they don't appear in my post, only the question does. The storage heater's E7 switch started drawing power at 2100 last night - maybe the E7 hours are different on a Sunday?? I had thought I had to set a timer for the power to...

Need a little help with my immersion heater!

Just moved into a new flat, it has storage heaters and an immersion tank. Can someone please explain why they have two switches? I'm not sure if they are labelled properly. Can I just leave the 24hr "cheep elec" one on all the time for constant hot water? Also storage heater - it also has...
