Swimming pool waste into soil pipe.

My head will explode if I do any more over this project! That looks to be exactly what I need Kev! (isnt Google great  ) Do you think it can stand up to the pressure (the pool guys say not to use standard waste pipe work in the system) and is there such a thing as a 1.5 inch to 32mm...

    Cable, conduit, multi utilitiesTrench question.

Hi Kev Yes I got a bit carried away when I hired the 3.5 ton digger...I took a week off work (I'm a banker -no comments pls) to dig a small hole for the plastic panel kit. Unfortunatley I got 3 foot down and the digger sank another 3 feet into the ground 3 days later I had a rather deeper...

    Cable, conduit, multi utilitiesTrench question.

I've got one of the Queen's pet animal people coming round to install the gas pipe/do all the connections etc. I was assuming it would be a copper gas pipe! But he will know what he is doing (I hope!) DW3101 What sort of pipe will he use? I was told by the people who supplied the...

Swimming pool waste into soil pipe.

Thanks for all the input guys; MUCH APPRECIATED. I will go for it I think. Anyone got a view on the question about the water trap? Will a closed ball valve be sufficient to supress foul air? (and be within the regs?) The soil pipe runs parallel with the pool waste pipe and about...

Swimming pool waste into soil pipe.

Good point Kev you've got me thinking... When we were building the pool we hit ground water very early on. The excavation was under about 3 foot of water. We had no problems pumping that continuously down the drain which fed into the same old clay foul water pipe that I'm proposing to use for...

    Cable, conduit, multi utilitiesTrench question.

Not sure where this question should live!!! I'm in the (long) process of building a swimming pool in my garden (so much for the maker's claim of swimming in 7 days!) Anyway I've just finished digging a 15m long trench which will carry a 35mm copper gas pipe and a 110mm soil pipe both of...

Swimming pool waste into soil pipe.

Felix, Thanks for the input. At the moment I've got it venting into a soakaway (very temp solution and I think against the regs) and it does come out with a fair force even into a fairly large diameter pipe. unfortunatly there is no way of slowing down the waste outlet; via the pump controls...

Swimming pool waste into soil pipe.

:D Htgeng we might have stumbled upon a new piece of bathroom furniture.... The Jackzi-Jacuzzi 8) The water would be at 84F chlorinated and travelling about 4 m/s so not only would it be an 'interesting' sensation you would be spotlessly clean  Seriously guys (gals) do you really...

Swimming pool waste into soil pipe.

Is it possible to vent a swimming pool filter waste outlet 1.5 inch ABS pipe into a standard plastic 110mm soil pipe? I'm installing an outside toilet in an outbuilding which joins onto the pump room and I'm planning to run the soil pipe through the pump room. To solve the problem of running...

Help Massive roof job coming up!

Now this is definitely DIYNOT (!) I haven't the head for heights or enough hours in the my days for this job. I live in a listed timber frame building originally built in the 16th century. During the Victorian period dorma windows were installed and to enable the attic rooms to be better...

    Dewalt Router 626 (advice please)

That is one of two of the only problems I have with it. It does weigh a tonne but then again it does make the saw very stable. My other problem with it is the dust collection bag is pretty much just really there for show! :) It still doesnt make as much mess as the router though :P .

    Dewalt Router 626 (advice please)

Thanks Dewy As I said I'm a firm believer in going for the highest quality one's budget can afford. Many years ago I realised that not only was it a false economy in terms of longevity but some tools noticably circular saws actually make a complete mess of things not to mention the safety...

    Router Table

Having recently joined the Router owning ranks DW626 (see earlier thread) I've now seen the light. I've now convinced my self I need a router table. Any suggestions? What should I look out for? I'll be using it to fabricate window frames and kitchen door fronts initially.

    Dewalt Router 626 (advice please)

Thanks for the (life saving) advice! Must admit after turning it on a feeling the gyroscopic effect, not to mention seeing a sharpened piece of tungsten whizzing round at 20Milllion RPM...I decided to revert to the hammer and chisel! However...I have already found a number of uses for it...

    Dewalt Router 626 (advice please)

Cheers guys you have put my mind at rest. I've purchase a number of dewalt power tools and they really are very reliable...fingers crossed! Are the 1/2 inch routers with less power much smaller/any easier to handle? The first job I have to do this weekend is rout out a recess for the large...

    Dewalt Router 626 (advice please)

I've never owned a router before, but recently decided that my tool cupboard needed one. I'm renovating a barn at the moment and the amount of times I've hit my hand chipping away with my chisel prompted me to think that there must be a tool for many of the jobs. Rebating, fitting hinges, making...
