    So all the fittings into the Radiators are standard size and these tails fit into the rad to allow these to be fitted? So current piping will be in place to do this dont need to worry about once tail fitted the valve wont meet the pipe coming from the floor?

    whats confusing me a little is the sizes i see online 15mm x 1/2 " I assume that means 15mm inlet (the bottom) and 1/2" outlet, if so my outlet looks more like just under an inch, but i assume i need to take into account the years of paint on it so maybe 3/4" ? New valves if they didnt fit...

    HI there I believe there copper pipes, but years worth of paint on them. Measuring the pipe going into the valve from the floor looks like 15 mm however the fitting into the radiator there the old type the councils used to fit as this is ex council hose.

    Well all sucesfully fixed, thanks alot, no water came out at all when I took the nut off which surprised me. However I have just posted another question thinking about replacing the valves so I can control the temperature in the individual rooms as 4 of the radiators have no control 'knob' and at.

    Are they easy to fit etc? If you cant tell not very DIY enabled :) But was thinking either clean them all up, or purchase new ones but would that mean draining system etc ? Any guides on doing this?

    Sorry to trouble you again! Quick question the leak I have I turn just that control on the radiator down to 0 and then undo the nut? Or do i close of both ends of the radiator? Thanks again

    Well will give it a go tomorrow with the one I know that leaks for sure, if all goes to plan will be doing the rest in the house as some dont even move due to the years of paint thats on them. If i dont let you know how it went tomorrow thats because I have drowned :)

    Great well will be off tomorrow to buy some PTFE tape or string, do you personally have a preference ??? And I just wrap it around the bit inside the nut, not sticking out the top :) Thanks again Gary

    Is that all I need to do to fix the problem? No need to buy new ones? If the Valve is closed no water to flood the house, I have time to clean them up so they actually spin freely? When you say around the Spline exactly what part is that? Sorry to have to ask :)

    Biasi 24s. It clicks once, the fires up, goes off after a a short time, and then clicks continually and doesnt fire back up. Sorry not a expert on boilers, a mother with 2 kids I am an expert on :)

    The boiler when switched on clicks once, fires up for a very short time, goes off clicks repeatedly and never relights. The radiators are cold also the water. Pressure is 1.5, thats about as much as i know, sorry Paula
