How's that! (I'm getting good at this! :lol: ) Has anyone fitted one of these? As you can see from one of the pictures I can slide it on, but what worries me is that it doesn't seem to be water-tight. The sink's heavy, I want to assemble the fittings before I put it on the wall.

This is the connector. Has anyone out there fitted one of these?

I've bought a (slightly fancy) sink for our bathroom, but the tap fittings are confusing me. The sink has three holes; two for the tap handles and one for the spout. There is what looks like a weird flexi that fits to all three underneath, but the diagram has been photocopied so many times...

Presumably the stips are just there because the tray didn't fit flush against all four walls. I'm sorry I can't post a picture because my camera doesn't work (and I'm not sure I'm clever enough to make it work!) Maybe I won't know what's under the tray until I take the old one out. Do you...

Haha! Now you're getting technical. As you look down on the tray, it's surrounded by four wooden strips, one on each side. I'm pretty sure it was a DIY job. I'm reluctant to pull it apart in case I don't do the job, but it is raised off the floor about 6" or so.

I fitted a basin mate and it worked! :D I took out the flimsy white washer thing, I hope that's right. It didn't seem to fit anywhere. Anyway, the thing doesn't leak anymore so thanks again for your help. I'm thinking of fitting a new shower tray now I'm in the mood. Should be easy! lol!

Thanks again for all your help. I can see that Basin Mate would be pretty water-tight from the picture. I assume I'll need to put some 32mm pipe between it and the bottle trap.

Basin mate?! I've never heard of that. Is it a washer that goes underneath the sink, between the nut and the sink itself? Would I still use the washer? Thanks very much guys, I'll be at B&Q first thing in the morning! :D

Hi. I'm not a plumber, but I've just had a go at changing the sink in my bathroom. I've fitted the plug hole like this, from top to bottom: metal plughole rubber(?) washer sink plastic washer plastic nut ...as per the instructions. I even put some silicon between the metal plughole...
