Suppose it would help knowing that, their being applied onto ply over existing timber floor

Sorry in advance if this has been asked a dozen or more times. I`m due to lay some slate floor tiles 600*400 in my bathroom and wondered if anybody could recommend the best product to use for this and the type of grout I should be using. Also which would any of the people in the know out there...

Cheers for the reply Kev, just curious to know using this method would over tightening by any chance be able to crack the pot?

Is there a specialist screw for doing such a job (ie plastic coated head so overtightening won`t crack the pot) or is a regular screw with a plastic cup and brass washer just as effective. Sorry if it seems such a stupid question to ask :) Thanks

I`ve been told that using washing up liquid perishes the rubbers, is that true or not??

I was just about to replace a few ceiling roses with some fancy lights (not my idea it was SWMBO`s) anyway i`ve uncrewed the fitting and its got more wires inside than previous ones i`ve replace, I presume it has something to do with the house having smoke alarms wired to the mains. Anyhooo...

Cheers for that Tomy i`ll pass that info onto them. They only had it fitted just before xmas but unfortunately the heating engineer is on his hols until Tuesday and they didn`t want to call anybody out to look what the problem maybe.

Thats what I opted for after I didn`t sink the pipes in deep enough (them damned copper elbows :lol: ) and have to agree it looks smart enough

I asked was there any signs of water coming from either pipes outside and they assured me water occasionally came out of the white plastic pipe and definately non out of the copper pipe. I think my mate must have sat outside all day and watched it :D

Before I start don`t have a go at us if i`ve not explained the problem in detail because i`m asking it on behalf of somebody else :? Anyhoo the problem is with a Valient (i`m sure thats the make) combi condensing boiler it looses all its water pressure in more or less a day. There is no leaks...

Just had central heating fitted and 2 rads are cold at the bottom, plus what i`ve noticed is the thermostatic are on the (cold side) whilst all the others are on the (hot side). Could this be the problem? I`d call the plumber back but he`s on his hols

when the belts on motor won`t turn remove the belt and it turns freely (when its on a cycle ) replaced brushes as advised any idea what the problem may be
