How to fix a door that doesnt open fully!?

Dont think the hinges in your video would help you, they are designed for open out doors to open 180degree, clearing the external reveal. I don't see them clearing that plaster internally

How to fix a door that doesnt open fully!?

See it fairly regularly that when the door is measured no one takes into account the final plasterboard and plaster. Yes a knockon would have enabled the door to open further, and allow the hinges to be adjusted if needed. As a matter of interest what is the door frame width? Should have been...

Lift-to-lock door handle occasionally won't let the key turn

Does the inside of the gearbox still have grease? Trust me , been working on doors for 25 years... multipoint locks ( particular gearboxes ) & wd40 are not a good match

Lift-to-lock door handle occasionally won't let the key turn

I wouldnt use wd40 on multipoint locks, washes all the grease out of the gearboxes and that cause more issues Graphite spray/grease or similiar for any gearboxes, bit of vaseline or similiar on other moving parts,

Lift-to-lock door handle occasionally won't let the key turn

Sounds like minor adjustment is needed on hinges, beware though the heat will cause upvc to swell...even white upvc Pretty much all multipoint with lever handles are lift to lock , as it engages the locking points As a side note , you should really pull thr handle up every time, as it reduces...

Stumped on adjusting these window hinges

So the bottom of the window catches as you close it? If thats the case then the window has actually dropped, toe and heeling ( packing ) the glass might possibly help It might also be the hinges are physically bent. Technically the only adjustment is the copper screw , adjusting friction...

    Another window condensation question

Oh , wait ...is this advertising i spot?? And if its not hopefully they explained if you dont deal with the route cause of the condensation, all modern double glazing would have done is move the problem to the next coldest place or place with lack of airflow ... eg behind a wardrobe or unit

How to remove cover on hinge

It may well be the door needs toe and heeling correctly, as whme the glass is packed correctly it will act like a ' bracelet ' . Check out youtube for videos. It may well be that before tou toe and heel the door you can loosen off that top hinge to allow for any future issues. It could also...

How to remove cover on hinge

As Crank says, leave the four screws in and then adjust with the Allen bolt. Not sure why you removed , or even touched, the four screws

How to remove cover on hinge

Sorry dont seem to get notifications of when I'm tagged... Open the door , and i believe if you look at the hinge from the other side there is a clip you need to push to release the cover , may need to slide forward too. Might be a screw holding it in( which is easier lol )

    Conservatory Roof Leaking

Gonna be honest, conservatory roof leaks like these can be a right pain to solve. It is potentially the foam padding and silicone sealant that has ' let go ' , or it could be the main ridge cap , or even the junction of the main ridge cap to wall. ( i seen it from all three places but...

    Adjust uPVC door butt hinge

In your third picture, the right hand side part of the hinge there is two Allen bolts, you need to turn these BUT they look incredibly worn. Looks like its a composite door too so toe and heeling the glass won't help either. If they won't move you may have to get another hinge, or as a...

    Communal front door

You say communal.. how many people use it? Reason being the average Upvc door is considered ' Residential ' , so if traffic is heavy then the door is really not up to it without regular ' servicing/repairs ' . Having said that , I know of Upvc doors on Doctors surgeries and garages/petrol...

    Shed doors dropping

You say you had them fixed before? Im guessing they adjusted the hinges . My suspicion would be that the glass needs ' toe and heeling ' . Plenty if videos on the Internet to watch and see if you think you could do it yourself or not

Hinged front door difficult to close. Could this button seems to be the issue

The green arrowed knob is a ' snib ' , hold the handle down, then turn it , and it should keep the latch fully retracted. Enables you to use the door without the handle. The red pointed ball , never seen anything like that but guessing to do with locating the door correctly @crank39 will more...

    Window catching

The brass screw will.adjust how easy/hard it is to open. It adjusts the friction, hence upvc window hinges are actually called Friction Stays

    Leak in roof lantern

Clean it up with something like white cif (.dont use the yellow it will stain ) , then apply a beading of white silicone where white trims meet white trims , and clear silicone in other locations you fear it might be leaking
