Cheers, when you say bonding I take it you mean adhesive bond? This is a metal stud wall though ?

Mate says I can get away with higher runs of tile adhesive with what ive got.

Hi all im slightly concerned that ive chanelled too much thermalite block out. Its about 50mm for a shower valve. The channel on the right side can be filled in as that isnt needed now. Should I be worried and should I fill in with a mortar mix?
