Bath gap to wall at first fix

Because im an impatient cowboy I went with option 1 by 5mm to give me some wiggle room. Only thing I didn't remember was I'd scrimmed before doing the tank up before in the corner but never mind.

Bath gap to wall at first fix

Hiya me again ! I measured 170 exact between walls where the bath will go and its not worked out. Its tight and not square and i dont have any wiggle room to seal it in (is a metal bette bath so not sure if i need to tbh on that but still it is tight and im worried about wall movement etc...

    Concealed WC waste alignment

I've just checked my ensuite that has the same WC as the one i've ripped out and it sits 18cm centred to floor. I'll have about a 2cm gap now though for Tile/Floor consideration so maybe i'll have to get a 20MM offset pan connector.

    Concealed WC waste alignment

Thanks. The bog I've just ripped out must have had this sloped arrangement too tbh. It had another 110mm pipe section that must have had this slope in it then 90 degree bend, hence why I bought this new section thinking it would be suitable. Good point on removal from the junction, number 1...

    Concealed WC waste alignment

I am doing a concealed wc at the moment. The existing soil pipe is too low. Current centre of the outlet is 140mm When i minus 10mm tile +substrate ill be looking at this being 120mm. Will 60mm offset work here?

    Bathroom Fan question

I'm doing my bathroom too. I've put mine half way over the bath but if i probably did this again i'd do it in the far end corner near the shower end. Bear in mind distance to the outlet from the hole, you'll need it on higher which will be noisy. Also recommend using solid UPVC piping not...

    Tiling onto browning - Technical

I'd be using a better substrate as in use tilebacker XPS or Hardie backer on the walls, then tank it.

    10mm bow in chipboard

Thanks for the input. I wasnt sure if building up tileadhesive would be suitable based on the depth. Could do 12mm hardie on this section as well potentially. Maybe worrying too much as usual!

    10mm bow in chipboard

Im getting ready to sort bathroom floor. The original board had tile adhesive down directly (thanks cowboy) so i had no option but to sand it off with grinder. The floor isnt big but has this 10mm bowed section. This is the most hard trafficked section for getting out the bath etc so might be...

    Bette bath universal fixing issue

Answered my own question already, legs are not secured enough and they've moved out of position due to not being tight enough. German engineering works but it aint for idiots and you should always read there fking manuals to the death lol. 50 quid of mistake but you live and learn don't you.

    Bette bath universal fixing issue

I will try that in the morning but its clearly not tightened i think. Its annoying as the legs wouldnt budge when i wobbled them around. Manufacture videos show it notched in so i think the writings on the wall and i need to buy legs again.

    Bette bath universal fixing issue

Just put the bath feet onto a bette select. First leg set went on, tightened up, the nut came off....then went to so second leg and noticed i should have the metal belt within the notches on the side of the bath so it tightened against it. Dipsht didnt on the first set! I was confident with...

How best to tackle new plastering that doesn't appear great?

Why would you sand down after a mist coat? Surely it's not that bad if you are thinking about this. I find the earlier you correct plaster hairlines and issues like yours the better it is to layer up paint.

    UPVC Window gaps internal

Hi, I have taken this window back to masonry to retile. Original windows were late 90's build and They were added in. Its got some lovely gaps. Do I remove the damp sheet and foam in all around this gap? Do i do this with the bottom as it will need 40mm of tilebacker. I can see why the...
