    Light switch trapped wire

Noticed what looked like soot down the side of a switch in the bedroom. Anyway decided to investigate. Took the switch off. Found the little screw that holds the switch to the wall is massively long and trapped a live wire. What’s the best fix for this ? Insulation tape? Thanks Tom
