    Tiling on top of quarry tiles

    Can I tile on top of quarry tiles? One tiler I've spoken to said no as might get air underneath or something and lift new tiles. Quarry tiles are currently under the carpet ,but looks solid and firm.

    What type of tile is this?

    Anyone know what type of tile this is some say Staffordshire blues some say victory tile. It's off 1930's roof and has a letter H stamped in the center , I've been told handmade.

    Flashing under or on top of tiles? (1)

    Had new buttons and a dry hip and ridge system , Im not sure about the ridge but the hip had some felt or sticky felt put on then the hip tiles on top ,I noticed today that there is flashing fitted on top of the ridge?...... don't know why.....I mean why wasn't it fitted under the ridge tiles...

    Felt or membrane?

    I need to cover my roof on my pergola that I've built , has a wooden roof , can I just put felt on it and nail it down or membrane.....not sure if it's same stuff , it's 14 feet x 9 feet so I'm thinking if I get a 15m x 1 m that should be enough to do it all. Any advice please.
