    Storage heater need insulation.

I’ll tape various plastic packets to it when it’s cold and try and replace the cover to see how many mm I can add and still fit the cover. Thanks again for all your help.

    Storage heater need insulation.

Thanks for replying. The insulation was missing from the start. Any idea on finding out how many mm it has normally with this model? Also if I buy some ceramic fibre board will that be safe in the extreme temperatures that storage heater generate? Thanks again for all the advice.

Hi everyone. Hope you all have a fantastic xmas and new year. I recently bought a 2nd hand Creda storage heater TSR24ACW specification 75772003S. All is good and working but their is no insulation on the front panel. Looked and it seems you can only get with the front panel at around £160. Is...

Hi guys and girls! I have recently used tank slurry on my concrete/breeze block shed. I was going to have a go at plastering the walls inside. Prefer plastering old way to dot and dab but was wondering what the best gypsum plaster was to do the job? Browning then multi or one coat etc? Also...

    Good glue for solid wood-concrete

Hi hope everyone is good. I have a customer who wants me to fit approx 20 sq metres of 22mm solid oak flooring to his concrete sub floor. Haven't done one for a few years and was wondering if someone can recommend a good glue that doesn't cost silly money. Used to use T54 Sika but that's about...

    Need a Nail Gun Recomendation

Hi all I used to use a Tacwise 191el nail gun for nailing beading when doing laminate flooring which lasted 3 years. So when I replaced it I bought the Tacwise Duo 50 thinking I could use it for beading and maybe Architraves. Anyway it broke after 6 months and I found it too powerful for...

    How to fix to RSJ?

I also have to fit some French doors in the same property. So with that I will need the 20mm thick door casing not to dip. If I have room above I will fix eg a 4"x2" first by drilling into the RSJ. This will give me a nice gap to put some architraves on. So say I fix the 4"x2" with some 4" no 8...

    How to fix to RSJ?

It is a rail a shop provides to it's customer for turning standard 30" x 78" internal doors into sliding doors. The one I will be doing this time will be 3 doors. The first door on the left pivots on the floor and is guided at the top. The 2nd door is hinged to the first, however is fixed by a...

    How to fix to RSJ?

Hi guys I have a job next week fitting some sliding doors into an opening which divides 2 rooms. This is a relatively new build and have been informed by the customer that the only thing above is a RSJ. Now the system that the sliding doors use is the weight of the doors hang from the top rail...

    Laying loft boards

Hi all hope you all had a great xmas and new year. I have just a few questions regarding laying boards down in an attic with roof trusses. It is only for light storage. Insulation stick up 200mm from top of trusses, but don't mind squashing a little bit. Do I lay for example 6"x2" joists...
