    Cheers for all the advice, the house was built in 1956, and yes the tiles were pretty heavy duty, spotted directly onto the render floor to ceiling. the room is 3200mm by 2900 so its pretty square. tiles to be used will be brick shaped white/cream (not that colour matters) brick tiles...

    Says you with the name joe-90 hahaha I edited the above post to add a link to an example of house type.. all the remaining render is firmly attached. walls are Red brick not smartly finised as covered in Render.

    you can see where the tiles were spotted onto the motar with the cement adhesive. There is cavity in the exterior walls. hes an example of one for sale with the same construction. from what i can gather / seen they built this design all over the country...

    funnily enough emptied the trap a few times. :) guy came and couldn't explain why the flue no longer fitted, house must have settled he said, 18th century house i said probably pretty settled by now. :shock:
