I have an alpha cb24x boiler. There is no hot water except when the central heating is on. Surely not the diverter valve as heating is being diverted to heat water and vice versa. System also looses pressure daily. Any ideas??

Re no dhw on alpha cb 24x. When shorting out, or gently lifting dhw micro-switch from diverter valve body the water heats up ok. So I renewed micro-switch but the fault is still there!! Can anyone tell me what is used inside the diverter valve body to operate the switch ( plunger, lever, etc)...

can i flush a combi by simply opening the prv valve and then open the feed loop valve and let the water blast thru the system ( i"m a lazy whatsit) ??

Follow on from earlier thread. Alpha cb24x combi approx 8 years old. C.H. fires up but hot water wont. Good water pressure. Been told its probably the diverter valve. Is this d.i.y.able gents ??
