Re no dhw on alpha cb 24x. When shorting out, or gently lifting dhw micro-switch from diverter valve body the water heats up ok. So I renewed micro-switch but the fault is still there!! Can anyone tell me what is used inside the diverter valve body to operate the switch ( plunger, lever, etc) the and how difficult to fix??

The diverter valve is failed as you would have been told if you had asked.

The diverter valve needs to be repaired or replaced.

The bit inside it is called a Diaphragm".

Big Rubber circle with a steel rod up the middle, some springs & washers.
RGI's prefer to change the whole valve, DIY'r get a diaphragm as its much cheaper & our time is free :D

There is also another little valve operated by the diaphragm, only dismantling the whole valve will tell you if thats corroded or gunged up.
