Just to add I could batten the walls where there is no window and stud the wall which has a door and small window in it but wondered if there was an easier way with battens cheers Paul

How big is this step going to be? You can get angled/ramped trims to overcome this. Also you can raise the carpet a little in front of the "step". If your talking about a step of around 20mm trust me once you put a ramped trim in and lifted the carpet in front of it a little you won't...

Hi all, My vaulted pitched roof is made up of 200mm rafters. Tiles on top with a breathable membrane, 100mm airgap, then 100mm foil backed GA4000. I was going to put Celotex PL4000 underneath. Do I need to add a vapour control layer in this setup? Thanks in advance Paul
