    Ticking/Clicking Noisy central heating pipes

One fly in the ointment is that I think the pipe that is probably the one causing most of the issues is inaccessible due to it being under floorboards that are covered by a big, expensive, and extremely tight fitting wardrobe that is pretty much impossible to move without destroying it. I have a...

    Ticking/Clicking Noisy central heating pipes

Hi, We had some pretty old radiators replaced a while back, for some modern ones, and ever since then the central heating pipes upstairs have started ticking/clicking when the heating comes on and goes off, loud enough to wake us up. I can only assume the replacement of the rads moved the...

Replace Honeywell T6360 thermostat with FR10 WB

Hi, I have a Worcester Bosch 30 CDi combi boiler with a DT20 timer. The thermostat is a Honeywell T6360. I'm not happy with the thermostat as I don't think it does a very good job, as it appears to keep the heat on for far too long. Plus it doesn't tell me the current temperature, just lets...

worcester bosch digital receiver & rf thermostat problem

Please let me know how you get on, as I suspect I may have to do the same. It's working fine at the moment, but I suspect it's only a matter of time before the problem returns. Keith

worcester bosch digital receiver & rf thermostat problem

+1 to that question! I've been doing some testing around this issue over the last few weeks, and decided it must just be rubbish kit. I say this because (as reported before) I started getting the issue a lot a while back, I made a few (minor) changes to the setup and the problems went away. I...

worcester bosch digital receiver & rf thermostat problem

+1 to having the same problem as sparkykink posted in June. Has anyone come up with a definite answer to this, other than go wired? Is it definitely wireless router related (mine is close)? Is it just rubbish equipment related? Mine has only been installed for 4 months and until now had...

    Crosswater Toilet Roll Holder

OK, really dum question, but has anyone ever fitted one of these (model CE029C - see http://www.crosswater.co.uk/product.php?id=226)? I ask, because our builder did it for me, but I now want to take it off (and put it back on again), and I'm not sure how to! Keith

    Soakaway/Existing drainpipe question

Sorry to come back to this after so long, but for the purposes of 'completeness' I thought I'd get back with what happened in the end. To cut a long story short, the Building Inspector allowed the builder to put the rainwater into the foul due to the increase in water created by the pitch...

    Soakaway/Existing drainpipe question

Everybody who has seen the plans and existing arrangement agrees, so hopefully the BCO will to. One can hope

    Soakaway/Existing drainpipe question

Exactly that, except the extension will be a pitched roof not flat, so I guess that will make it a bit bigger? As for the soakaway itself, I've heard about them blocking up, the colour of the grass over it being different to the rest of the garden, overflowing with heavy rainfall. However...

    Soakaway/Existing drainpipe question

I'm having a 1st floor extension built in the next couple of months. I have planning permission and building regs approval. However, there is an outstanding question mark regarding the building regs because the plans showed the downpipe for the new extension going into the same drain as other...

    Tile quality question

An example is, http://www.ereader.uk.com/simplyt/bathroom/ page 18, the Dover beige plain. £27.95 for 8 (we need 225 to do everywhere). Thats before VAT. Ta.

    Tile quality question

Hi, I sort of asked this question at the end of someone elses topic, but am starting a new thread to do it properly! We're extending our bathroom and the costs are beginning to mount fast, i.e. Building work, new shower, bath, toilet, basin, underfloor heating etc and we're wondering if...

Which Tiles are best for kitchen and bathroom?

Does this apply to the tiles as well, or just adhesive and grout? I ask because we're extending our bathroom very soon and costs are mounting fast and we wondered whether tiles are an area we can save some money. However, the builder we are using for the extension work (and probably tiling) has...

    Baumatic Dishwasher BDW5 tripping RCD

Cheers, but after a further bit of investigation I'm now not convinced. I've now discovered that with the DW on (switched on at the socket) but with no program set to run, the RCD trips after a few seconds (10 ish) IF the door is closed! Any more ideas? Knackered DW? Keith

    Baumatic Dishwasher BDW5 tripping RCD

Hi there, my integrated Baumatic Dishwasher BDW5 suddenly started tripping the RCD in our consumer unit. It was running last night, about 15 minutes into the wash when it first happened. Everytime I reset the RCD and I switched the DW back on at the socket the RCD would instantly trip. I then...

BAXI 105e Instant hot water light not going out

Sorry, never realised you asked this. Anyway, it turned out to be the switch as suggested by someone here. It cost about £25 for the part I seem to recall.

BAXI 105e Instant hot water light not going out

Thank you very much for the replies. It is an instant (title changed as suggested) and I had no idea there were two types!! What I do know is that I've had nothing but issues with this damn boiler :(

BAXI 105e Instant hot water light not going out

Hi there, The problem is simple, the solution so far isn't! When I draw hot water, the hot water light comes on, burner fires up, hot water arrives. All good. However, when I turn off the hot water tap, the burner stops but the hot water light stays permanently on, not flashing. When in this...
