    been to a 30 sxi today f9 fault. book o words says loose conns, iffy pump or faulty pressure sensor. boiler display says 2.4 bar system pressure. seperate pressure gauge reads the same. if i disconnect sensor conn then boiler display says 0 bar. when i re-connect it goes back to 2.4 bar. pump...

    boilerman2. just re-read your reply (thanks by the way) & don't understand one part. when you say the aps will drop out on idle & cause pilot outage, then what does the aps do? i thought it made on hi speed & went back to rest mode at low speed fan (idle)

    happens with the case off so not lack of air although i will check the flue anyway. just cant work out why fan is on full speed at rest & goes to slow when microswitch makes when the tap is turned on. have checked all wiring connections & all are as wiring diagram on boiler casing.

    i may be wrong but i thought the o/heat reset is inside the inner boiler cover up on the top l/h side at the back. (i know the british gas 330 which is a glow worm is in that place) personally i would have a mk1 3 litre consul GT !

    i have the above boiler in a flat i let & the tennant complained about whining noises. i've had a listen & it happens after a hot water draw-off. goes on for about 2 mins & then peters out slowly. the fan is fine as is the pump. magnaclean fitted & a recent boiler off the wall to replace that...

    IF IT'S AN INSTANT (FITTED WITH A PRE HEAT FUNCTION) you can't fit an external pressure vessel as the one fitted has 2 water connections to it.
