Electrolux EOD67642X overheats when over, say, 200 degrees

Solved this a couple of years ago myself. It was a worn relay that often became seized. Sourced spare from Germany, replaced on circuitboard and now it's fully functional once again.

Mistral FF71N rear fan not working

The original fan's armature within the fan motor had worn so I sourced a replacement. The original fan was wanting to spin but got stuck and squealed at each active cycle. I replaced the motor with the same type but now the fan isn't even willing to power up. Does a capacitor initialise the...

Electrolux EOD67642X overheats when over, say, 200 degrees

On low heat the oven self regulates. When on hot the oven's temperature just keeps creeping up! Any ideas?

I was issued a replacement oven from Stoves - which I didn't open but sold as new instead.

Stoves 907mf electric fault (PCB issues)

I wrote to Stoves several times and I paid for an independent engineer to assess the oven. The circuit boards were faulty - as I suspected from the previous 2 repairs! I wasn't going to have a third time  Eventually, after going through various necessary hoops I managed to get...

Stoves 907mf electric fault (PCB issues)

I wish I could bring you good news. I'm not an electrical engineer and am not qualified in anything similar but I think a trip to the local retailer or a second hand one to tide you over would be the best option. Bosch, Neff, Smeg are the brands I would recommend. If you pay to get a quote...

Answer - don't buy Stoves! I no longer do.

    Worcester 35cdi - room thermostat

That's super news, thank you. I've looked at the manual for the cdi but am unsure how to wire it then as it implies three wires are required yet the thermostat only has two! Any ideas? Scarbs

    Worcester 35cdi - room thermostat

Hi, I'm looking at installing a room thermostat to regulate the heating due to the awkward position of our boiler. Is this model suitable for my boiler? http://www.heatingcontrolsonline.co.uk/siemens-raa20-room-thermostat-p-311.html Many thanks in advance. Scarbs

Stoves 907mf electric fault (PCB issues)

Great news - I am taking delivery of a Stoves S7-E900MF as replacement for my faulty 907mf. http://www.stoves.co.uk/Built-in-ovens/Built-in-ovens-900mm-electric_c11/S7-E900MF_s138.aspx They are taking the old oven away - wonder if they'll fix it? Scarbs

Stoves 907mf electric fault (PCB issues)

So, although Stoves had agreed so repair my oven free of charge the powerboard assembly is out of stock indefinitely. They had already sent me the controller board assembly. So, now I have a non-working Stoves oven, a new controller board and the chance to have an exchanged product. Yes...

Boiler cutting out - possible overheat?

I booked Bosch to repair the fault with my boiler and they repaired it the other day whilst I was at work. The trouble is I don't know what the fault was so don't know whether it will happen again soon or whether a related fault might occur. I'll ring them to obtain information before any...

Stoves 907mf electric fault (PCB issues)

It seems that to persevere is beneficial. Glen Dimplex, who make Stoves, have agreed to fund the repair for my faulty four year old oven. I'll await it's repair then see how long these circuit boards last!!! Scarbs

Strange fault with Stoves 707MF electric oven

Hi PiersR, I'm looking to write a letter to Glen Dimplex (who make Stoves, and other branded, ovens) stating how I consider their PCBs not to be up to good standard. Would you agree and are you willing to countersign it? Scarbs

Stoves 907mf electric fault (PCB issues)

Well, in the short term I needed an oven and the choice was either to get the broken one repaired, to purchase another new one - but this would have to be a cheap one and perhaps lacking in quality - or we could purchase a good quality branded second hand one. Another alternative is that we...

Strange fault with Stoves 707MF electric oven

Yes, I thought so. How did you get it repaired? Who did the repair? Did you pay for parts or engineer or both? I'm very skeptical of the quality of Stoves PCBs. My four year old oven is needing its fourth set of boards!!! :x

Boiler cutting out - possible overheat?

Thank you Kevplumb. So what might cause this to happen and can it be repaired by a competent DIYer?
