Cannot get purchase on small square nut to bleed rad

Might sound a silly question but what does a fine-nosed self-grip wrench, Vise-Grip or Mole look like? as I might already have one but am not familiar with the name.

Cannot get purchase on small square nut to bleed rad

I need to bleed one half of my rad. But the 3 different keys I have used have been unable to open or loosen the small square nut. I have tried a quick blast of WD40 to loosen it with no joy. The small square nut is so stiff the keys have ended up rounding off the edges making it more difficult...

My living room AV install. Work in progress with pics.

muffking just a quick question. where did you get the white plastic item that makes the wall look presentable where the wires (scart ect) are coming out of the centre. The reason I ask is because I have done the same as you with my 37" LCD and would like to get one to finnish it off.

Securing Willow against Panelled Fencing with Concrete Posts

Might sound a silly question but how would you secure the batons to the concrete posts. I am asking because I was told not to screw anything into them because they have a tendency to crumble or break. If this is not true could you tell me what you would use, and where can I get them please Thermo.

Ants huge problem!plus black flying ones!

I would get to root of the problem and find the nest with the queen. Dig up what ever it takes, the patio, lawn, decking to get rid once and for all. Because they are making a network of tunnels right throughout the year that's getting bigger an bigger and eventually they will start looking for...

Securing Willow against Panelled Fencing with Concrete Posts

If you can imagine a panelled fence (the type with wooden panels that slot into concrete posts) around 40 foot long and 5 foot high. I wish to fix willow all the way along one side of the fence but it will be around a foot taller than the panelled fence itself. Given that we have had some bad...

How do you handcut 7" skirting boards

Thanks for your reply big-all but as I mentioned earlier I am unable to use a mitre because my skirts are 7" and I cannot find one big enough. So I am having to do them by hand and the gap I mentioned is happening not against the walls but at the very edges of my right angle cuts where the 2...

How do you handcut 7" skirting boards

This might sound a bit daft but does anyone have any diagrams showing how to do this. As I have tried several times now what has been suggested, but cannot achieve a good fit for my 90 degrees cuts. I always end up with a gap at the top or the bottom of the skirts when I put them together. If it...

How do you handcut 7" skirting boards

 This question obviously sounds a bit silly to someone who knows what they are doing. But your advice is really appreciated. While I am on a roll could you advise the best type of saw for this job? I am building my tools up, so if there is a better tool to do the job than a standard...
