    the feed cable is going into LOAD, and cooker cable going into SUPPLY, which according to posts is correct. Do you think it must just be the design of switch?

    after all the part p has settled down - can anybody say whether it is a certain type of switch that only allows the socket to work when the cooker switch is on. (I don't usually have the cooker switch on because no electric cooker connected to it).

    I have replaced an old cooker switch and socket - however the new socket will only work when the cooker switch is set to ON. Is this correct and does it depend on the type of switch used because the old socket worked even when cooker switch set to OFF.

    One of my transformer cables will not be long enough to reach the junction box, what do I need to extend the cable (brown and blue). Is it a connector block and some extra flex (brown and blue)?

    Thanks for your help. One last question - will all the transformer live connections fit into the one terminal along with the sleeved black, (the same with the neutrals). There will be 4 connections in the 'live' and 5 in the neutral!!
