    I have lived in this house for over 20 years now and there has always been a very minor crack there. If it was subsidance wouldnt the crack run from the bottom of the house, this one is only upstairs and only on the internal wall.

    I have noticed there is cracking around one window on the landing, I recently chiselled a groove along the cracked plaster and noticed that the bricks beneath have cracked. I have filled the crack with plaster and it was fine for several months and now there is a thin crack appearing again...

    New Shower problems

    I have recently had a new shower installed and I am having problems getting water through it. The plumber that installed it tells me that the water tank in the loft needs to be raised as there is only about 2' distance between the tank and the shower head. Can anyone verify this is the case

    You will need to make an official complaint preferably in writing to the environmental health agency of your local council. Make sure that you keep any correspondance from them, you may need this later if you are still unsuccesful. Let me know how you get on, I may be able to advise you further
