    ye really helpful..........let me explain its 6m wide x 3 m depth, 2.4 m high, single storey with flat roof.i know they need to be 400 centres and dont know if i can get away with 7" x 2" or if i need 8" x 2".ontop will be 18mm osb boards with cure it roof.Hopefully this info will help

    could any one tell me please if i require any permission to convert part of my garage into an extention of the existing kitchen.they are joined but garage is single skin brickwork so will need to do an internal skin and redo roof as the slope is too acute.any advise would be very appreciated.

    hi,if you find your local johnstones paints,dulux centre or crown shop just call in and ask there advise,you will find they all do there own products for all applications.ask them for a sealer and they should be able to help.you will find johnstones will be the cheapest.zinsser products are good...

    i also agree the everbuild 125 is great product.other alternatives are dulux ,fat hog(johnstones),no nonsense etc.caulk comes in different consistancies.fat hog,no nonsense seem rather soft and loose,although easy to spread can be messy in the wrong hands and not very good for larger gaps.dulux...

    staining mdf

    hi,mdf is not made for staining and varnishing.it is fine to prime/undercoat and gloss.if you want a good finish i suggest you use pine.hope this helps

    Just plastered - am i wasting my time?

    brush dust off walls then use a contract emulsion and water down by 10-20%.contract has no vinal in it and is specially for new plaster.get jonmatt from johnstones paints.hope this helps
