We do magnacleanse flush on all new boiler installs and recommend Magnaclean Filter install for future protection. Magnacleanse has taken over from our powerflush machine.
Lots of calculations and unknowns. If it was me I would be liaising with your local water board, before starting anything, as they will have figures relating to the mains pressures and even plans of the existing mains supply. :D
If a combi tries to supply more than one outlet at a time then the mains flowrate will be shared between them, although water will take the easiest route. Before the combi was recommended and installed I assume the fitter checked your incoming mains flowrate (not the pressure) to ascertain if a...
It could be your mains stop valve (in the house) is not shutting off fully and the washer needs replacing. Failing that fit a new one. Even if you blow down the pipework if the stop valve is letting by water will return. :)
You will still have the same problem of a lack of incoming mains flow rate, to service all the outlets. You need to upgrade the supply from the main stop valve outside the property I'm afraid, or change over from the combi system.
In that case it could possibly be the 'Pressure Relief Valve' on the boiler, which is letting by. May be worth having it checked out. It could just be the valve or another fault wihch is activating the PRV.
Although you have a combination boiler the toilet still could be fed by a tank in the loft. If you have turned the mains off then check to see if the cistern is still filling up. If so then either the main has not been fully turned off or the toilet is fed from a tank. Check. Either way the ball...
It is a motorised valve which switches the flow between hot water and or central heating depending on demand. If it is leaking at a joint then you may need to drain down the system to that point to rectify the problem. :)
Your boiler is set for a certain flowrate at a set temperature. If you exceed that flowrate by turning the hot tap fully open then the boiler cannot reach that temperature. By reducing the flow at the tap the boiler can heat the water at the temperature you want. :)
Is your hot water cylinder heating up? Also look up stairs and in the loft to see if there are any pipes which may have air vents on them. If a pipe rises and then drops down then air will hold up the flow.
You mean you have a conventional boiler with a hot water cylinder and two tanks in the loft. Do you have a pump, room thermostat, cylinder stat, motorised valve(s) or lever. More info required even pics will help :D
No that's enough. Just let it circulate and do it's stuff. You may need to bleed some rads for a little while yet, but it will stop. Patience is a virtue!
The dishwasher will only require a cold feed tap and it should be fairly easy to do. Do you have any pics of your existing pipe work it may help to advise you. :)
Next time you bleed a radiator see if the air smells of eggs or if you purt a match to it it pops. If so then it is not air getting into the system but hydrogen building up.
The water from your bath taps comes from your tank. The electric shower would be connected to your mains. Check the cold tap in your kitchen to determine your flowrate on your mains.
You will get a lot better shower if you raise the tank and install a power shower unit or pump to your existing...
