Mixer tap still leaking after changing ceramic cartridge

Ironically, the tap is now sorted, albeit using the 'cold' replacement cartridge so it turns the wrong way. We don't use the bath anyway so not a problem at the moment. Will source the better quality replacement parts at a later date. Thanks for the info about the online source. Well, PhD...

Mixer tap still leaking after changing ceramic cartridge

John, that's really helpful thank you very much (y) I will investigate later. Mixer tap still leaking after changing ceramic cartridge

Thanks John, that makes sense, but without callipers, can't measure the difference, as looking at them they appear to be the same. Do different tap manufacturers have specific cartridges by any chance? M:)

Mixer tap still leaking after changing ceramic cartridge

Hi John, thanks for your reply. Took the old cartridge to screwfix and asked for new one to stop the leak :D The red rubber washer definitely in place, do those washers come in differing depths? M

HI everyone, could someone please offer some guidance please on having replaced the bat mixer tap cartridges, the hot is still leaking? It is in fact worse than it was prior to cartridge change! Ballpark figure for downlighter installation

Hi everyone, I am planning moving from the dark side and into the light by having led downlighters fitted throughout. Could someone please give me a ballpark figure for parts and labour please? 3 x bedrooms, upstairs ceiling and downstairs hall, maybe 25 in total. Thanks in advance, Helen

    Hotpoint cdt80

It certainly does! Quite a bit of water in there, float working fine, emptied it all and put the whole machine back together........it works, and the lights stayed on! Still couldn't get the top off to try and sort the f-10 issue out, but hey, it's working. I have learnt quite a bit about the...

Ok, I can prise down the top part of where the two hoses enter the grey plastic housing. Within that part are a few electrical parts, which are dry, but how do I get into the bottom half of that ?pump? . There is water in there, you can hear it when blowing through the pipes from the top. Many...

If the pump is at the bottom right at the back with the two hoses going in, then I can blow through these easily.....

    Hotpoint cdt80

The heater(what I am guessing is the heater element) is actually dry, managed to get that cover off, and the impeller is free moving. I have the 'matching' washing machine, and the top comes off really easy on that (changed door switch and also door seal in the past). This top is however going...

Thanks for the great advice, but I am struggling to get the front panel off....screws removed from top and bottom, door lock screws out, but there seems to be white plastic retainers on each side on the inside, what do I do with them?!! Also, am being a bit dim, but how do you unclip the...
