    Internal Door Latches

Hello, I have a problem whereby my internal door handles will not remain fixed to the door, the screws keep pulling out. As I understand it, I need to put a through bolt through the door to keep it fixed in place. The door handles I have don’t match the existing latches so the hole for the...

    Hotpoint Aquarius Stopped Working

Hello, I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WF-541 Washing Machine. Last night I put a wash on and selected option 5 as normal. The machine started to fill up with water and then stopped. It's not completely full, the water comes just under the door seal. After about ten minutes of no action the...

    Washing Machine Waste Non-Return Valve

Yes it does a bit, we were told it was because the old plumbing was not designed for a washing machine.

    Washing Machine Waste Non-Return Valve

I think I can see what you mean, the actual trap leads to the washing machine and not the waste, right? Does it just need turning round the other way?

    Washing Machine Waste Non-Return Valve

I wanted to avoid adding more piping because despite what I just said, when you push the washing back in, there is quite a lot of slack. I thought there might be just a simple male to male join I could use but if more pipe is needed then that is what I will go for.

    Washing Machine Waste Non-Return Valve

I have tried to do this but the space under the sink is so limted i cant get the pipe to go and then down with enough space to join the trap. And if I pull the washing machine out, it comes out so far that there isnt enough slack on the pipe to do anything with it.

    Washing Machine Waste Non-Return Valve

Sorry, not sure I understand, how do you mean turn it upwards? I have extremely limited space under the sink and getting to the back of the washing machine is even harder as it is in a cabinet.

    Washing Machine Waste Non-Return Valve

Hello, I have a washing machine which keeps filling up with dirty water when not in use and I was advised to get a non return valave for the waste pipe. The one I have looks like this: The fitting for my existing waste pipe which, goes directly into the kitchen sink waste, looks like...

    Dishwasher Door Wont Close

I appreciate that this problem may have been posted many times before but I appear to have checked everything and I'm now at a loss as to what I need to do now. A couple of weeks ago my dishwasher (Hotpoint SDW60) had just started it's cycle when the Mrs opened the door to put something else...

2 Lights from 1 Ceiling Rose

I have actually seen it done like this in a house I once lived in. The flex was about 4 foot long and run along the ceiling and wound round a hook. Thats what gave me the idea so i was looking for an easy way to put a second light in.

2 Lights from 1 Ceiling Rose

I see sorry, I'm getting my terminology mixed up, when I said that I was going to run a cable of to the side I meant that I was just going to use an extended flex on the second pendent so that the light could be hung 3 feet away. I understand the difference now, you cant make the rose do...
