Plasterers overboarded two of my ceilings. Had to screw lots of screws through artex ceiling, used no protection dust everywhere, probably asbestos. How do I clean up help

So I’ve had two plasterers in and both have recommended over boarding. My only worry is them drilling into the ceiling and creating asbestos fibre dust!!

Thanks very much for that info. Interestingly the guy that took the samples said skimming it would be enough but I would tend to agree with the over board idea, except I thought that meant they had to drill into it.

I have just bought a house and ceilings tested positive for asbestos. Cracked in places. Not really sure how to tackle this, want to protect the kids from fibres please help.

It has a sticky feel. The black is the sticky bit, underneath that is the floor boards

well I can only remove what I can see potentially leaving some in the crack, but I guess i will just have to take a chance

Ive just removed silicone seal from between my bath and tiles and found that there is mold in the gap. This is a bit worrying as I can only treat what I can see. Is it safe to put fresh silicone over the top again if there is mold left? thanks,

not sure how long its been leaking, probably about 6 -9months. covers an area of about 5 square feet. board is not soggy just covered in black mold but wooden frame for bath is also damp

so there is no way of just cleaning up the mold and sealing the area?

Hi, I have discovered under my bath has had a slight leak and the flooring underneath is black with mold. I know chip board is absorbant so will I need to replace the floor? thanks
