Ideal Mini C24 Hot water problem

Hi Tony, I'm not entirely sure the plate improved the hot water when fully on, ie filling a bath. We only moved in in Feb so unsure of boiler history etc. yes you're right, I prob need an ideal man as my 'mate' who is a self emp plumbing and heating man doesn't always fill me with confidence...

Ideal Mini C24 Hot water problem

Thanks guys, my mate who is a gas safe engineer originally changed the plate but he does seem to jump to conclusions and I don't want to pay for bits that I then don't need. Maybe time to replace...

Ideal Mini C24 Hot water problem

Hello I have searched the forum but can't quite find the same problem for my exact boiler. Once someone has run the hot tap for a while it struggles to provide hot water again. It runs hot for a short time ( to fool you into getting under the shower) then starts running cold. You have to turn...

Ideal mini C24 no dwh or heat lock out

Hi guys I have just moved into a house that has an ideal mini C24 combi. The hot water wasn't that hot on full bore, ie filling a bath so we had to gate the tap down. My gas fitter friend said it would be the plate to plate so we replaced it. It didn't improve it that much to be honest but in...

Fitting kitchen units to walls not square

That's the problem with ikea units and the like with no service gap. I think ply lining on Batons may be your answer. If it was easy we would all be kitchen fitters. The joys of ikea.

    Central heating driving me crazy

If its 12 years old it should have cavity insulation already. A 12 year old house should be reasonably cost effective to run surely. Not sure what's up with your boiler though, sorry.

    Boiler wont turn off

Well if its not the mechanicals of the valve but the electrical side, pulling back against the spring resistance should turn it off. If that stops the boiler calling for heat that's the problem. You can just buy the top electrical parts of the valve. A bit more comp if you need to change the...

    Glow worm 18sx fault F1

So if that's ok and it's not blocked it must be something else causing the fault. I have a mate coming tomorrow who is a gas safe plumbing engineer to look at it. It looks towards a gas vale then.

    Glow worm 18sx fault F1

Thanks Tony But what I meant was it was way over the service line, as in full.

    Glow worm 18sx fault F1

Hello I'm new to this site and did do a search but couldn't find an answer to my problem. I'm a kitchen and bathroom fitter so do my own plumbing bar gas work. My boiler wouldn't light tonight so I checked it out and it had an F1 fault. On checking my manual I went through what it could be...
