    Garden mirrors to deter pests?

Wow this has really kicked off! I guess I'll have to give it a go and see what happens. And if it doesn't deter cats, at least they look nice.

    Garden mirrors to deter pests?

This forum does make me laugh! So it seems that mirror isn't the way forward, maybe apart from smaller mirrors in certain places. I might give a sonic deterrent a go, along with the mirrors and see if it works. I've found a place that does the mirrors pretty cheap anyway so it's worth a shot.

    Garden mirrors to deter pests?

We've started getting some cats from next door in our garden and we want to try to deter them. Some might disagree but to us they're being a nuisance. I've been doing some reading online and seen that using mirrors might help. So I was looking around and you can get sturdy acrylic mirror...

is a stainless steel splashback worth it?

Hmm, a mixed reaction. The thing is a stainless steel splashback will go perfectly with my extractor hood, but i'll need to find one that matches too. Back to the drawing board!

Building a trailer - kind of illegal

Interesting reading - thanks both! I thought it'd just be regulations on the lighting too, but the guys on this other forum were apparently adamant that it was illegal to build a trailer. Perhaps they were trailer salesmen out for his money!

Building a trailer - kind of illegal

This isn't so much a DIY disaster as a DIY no starter! I was talking with a group of friends the other night and one of them was recalling a story about some advice they asked for in another forum (shocking I know!) Anyway, he wanted to build a trailer with a friend and was planning on...

    Doing the greenhouse!

    Replacing Sunporch Roof

Hi all, I'm trying to beat the winter blues by planning some springtime DIY and I thought a good one would be to overhaul the sunporch we have out the back of the house. We've not used it for ages because the plastic roof is knackered (dirty, mossy, fogged) so the first job will be to replace...

    Homemade Bathroom Mirror

Hey, where did you find your 3mm mirror? I found some acrylic mirrors here but am shopping around for the best price now. Still considering Aluminium Dibond and POlycarbonate too, although I have a feeling the mirror effect will be reduced in these sheets.[/url]

    Homemade Bathroom Mirror

Hmm thanks for the tip, what about polycarbonate or Dibond mirror? I know polycarbonate is much stronger but I still might have the problem of discolouration. There is always Dibond aluminium composite, which is a little cheaper and (hopefully) more rigid?

    Homemade Bathroom Mirror

Hi all! We've just finished doing our bathroom and I've decided to make (make!) a nice mirror to go over the sink. I found a nice frame and have restored it to suit the room, but now I need to find a mirror to fit it. I know the traditional choice is glass for mirror but I've been reading...
