is a stainless steel splashback worth it?

basically my post subject says it all. i'm considering a stainless steel splashback in my kitchen but i'm not 100% convinced.

i can get it here (http://www.cutplasticsheeting.co.uk/stainless-steel-splashbacks/430-stainless-steel-sheet) to the right size...

or here (http://www.wickes.co.uk/cooker-splashbacks+upstands/stainless-steel-splashback/icat/stainlesssteelsplachback/) in set sizes...

what do you guys think? has anyone had experience with it before?[/b]

Your title does'nt actually say anything, but Ikea do a large selection of various designs for splashback.

I have quite a large piece behind my cooker, i would never use it again.
It looks crap and is a nightmare to clean and keep it looking good.

Hmm, a mixed reaction.

The thing is a stainless steel splashback will go perfectly with my extractor hood, but i'll need to find one that matches too.

Back to the drawing board!

Have you also considered other types of splashbacks i.e. laminated?
