Hi all,

I am just about to order a stainless steel splashback to finish off my kitchen! Just going to order it online to keep things simple but there is a wide range of thicknesses available (from 0.9mm to 3mm thick)?

Is there a thickness that anyone would recommend?

My initial thinking is that I should go as thick as I am willing to spend (up to around £100) so that would mean a 1.5mm thick splashback. Presumably the thicker the better (less likely to warp/bend etc once stuck on the wall).

All thoughts/comments/suggestions greatly appreciated!

I had a steel worktop made with splashback in once piece, from memory it was 1.5mm austenitic stainless steel, it's very robust, you will not need to go thicker. It will not bend easily!
