Gutter union reducer 4.5" to to 4"

Not had chance to get up there with the rain it's a guess at the 4" as I can see an old gutter bracket the same size as mine and there's a good 1-2cm of free space between it and their gutter.. It's been up atleast 10 years.

Gutter union reducer 4.5" to to 4"

Have a leak between my neighbours gutter and mine. Mines 4.5" 114mm, theirs is smaller possibly 4" (I will measure it soon). I can't seem to find and unions to joint these properly? With expansion etc I don't think sealant will last using a 114mm union? It's been leaking a number of years and...

Adding a radiator at this tee - bad practice?

Not sure why but I had a feeling that adding a radiator return to this old drain off/isolator valve was a bad idea but now i've drawn it out it looks like the same situation as the radiator above. Does this setup cause any issues? in my mind the water has 2 flows hitting head on? larger pipe is...

PIR and downlights that fade in/out

Thanks I did google but its seems a decent product doesn't exist for 240v. I'm sure they had nice fade in lighting in star trek in the 90's its a shame we haven't yet caught up. :)

Possibly, I will pick up a new mk switch. Failing that I'll have look under the floorboards and see if there any joint boxes but everything appears to terminate in the ceiling rose.

New boiler being installed - Wiring new fused connection

I already have a good 20m of 2.5 on a roll in the garage so will cost me nothing and will have no other use for it. I didnt want to put it on a spur off the kitchen ring since it already has its own circuit. Thought it may also come in handy one day if needed with a bigger MCB. Thanks for the...

Bathroom - replace single light with 3 downlights part p?

Yeah it is quite low. The previous owners put laminate and some silver insulation tiles on the floor which also raised it and I'm gonna check under the lost insulation to see is it's plasterboard above the wood t&g. Obviously in the bath your even closer to the ceiling :|

Light via junction box - re-use white flex?

aye when I had the floorboards up I tried to get a route back to the CU by feeding some trunking between the joists luckily i can get to under the bath and from a bit of fishing i could probably get to the cu from inside the cavity. So one day a new lighting circuit shouldn't be too much...

Hi, Im putting a new kitchen in and have a convential boiler with a hot water cylinder. The cylinder is quite old looking. At the minute I have a cold and hot water tap in the kitchen. It seems that separate taps are old school and hard to get a decent sink with 2 tap holes. Problem is...
