Dotting and dabbing over copper pipes?

Hi, I am in the process of boarding my kitchen but there are several copper pipes that come out a little bit more than the rest of the wall, all the pipes can be pushed right back to the wall so i do not think that is a problem. What I am wondering is, is it ok to get adhesive on the copper...

Dotting & dabbing onto old brick, pva?

Hi, yesterday i knocked old plaster off a brick wall and tonight am going to be dotting and dabbing it, my dad swears by a coat of diluted PVA, that has been left to dry for a short while before slapping on the adhesive, is this correct? or totally unnecessary? Ryan.

Hi all, i am currently dry-walling a stud wall, the studs are all fine but running along the top of the studs is a horizontal supporting beam, which lips over the studs by about 15mm, my Dad (a builder) said to cut strips of drywall and screw to the studs to act as spacers, i have done this but...
