i have upvc windows. i don't have knowledge/skills to hide cables inside the plastic framework. and i'd rather not have bits of cable stuck onto the framework. i suppose i could get wireless shock sensors, eg texecom impaq plus-w. but then, i'd have to get ricochet expander kit as well...

sure24 also do a similar device for a similar price. they say their unit is also always on. might pick up a unit and test out.

i'm not an expert, but i'll throw my tuppence worth in...... if you get a texecom panel, go for one of their veritas ones. veritas should be enough for a home system. don't make the mistake i made and get one of their premier range of panels. those are really for factories / offices /...

i have a texecom 48 panel and a texecom lcd keypad. i've connected the network connections on the keypad to network connections in the control panel. so far, so good. do i have to connect the zone in the keypad (labelled "A" [alarm] and "T" [tamper]) to a zone in the control panel...
