Well I've measured across the diameter of the copper stranded core having made a fresh cut off the end and it measures 2mm so I'm confused now what type of flex this is. Kind regards Justin

If it turns out my neighbour has a fridge freezer on the same wall as my problem I may be able to get some coordinates of that socket, presumably somewhere behind one of three wall cabinets that I have.

Definitely no conduit unless it's further up inside the wall. However, from my experience of the rest of the house, the original house builder didn't put T&E through conduit, its clipped to block work on the outer walls and rather unhelpfully dot and dabbed over in places. Kind regards Justin
