eurocombi a23 tap high for hot water

All fixed now and working better than it has for 10 years. The boiler is 15 years old and has only ever needed a pump, secondary heat exchanger and now a dv diaphragm so cant complain at all + only took 10 mins to do and cost £30 for parts. Thanks for the help. It is very much appreciated.

eurocombi a23 tap high for hot water

WOW. Thanks for the quick reply. Really appreciate the help Do you mean the diaphram in round brass bit at the end of the diverter valve? Are they easy to fit? Do I need to drain the boiler down? How do I get to the screws (can I undo the grub screws on the neck of the diverter valve to remove...

eurocombi a23 tap high for hot water

Hi. I have an Ariston Eurocombi a/23 MFFI that wont produce hot water when I turn on my combi shower + I have to turn my hot tap on full to get hot water or even turn it on and off a few times very fast to get the boiler to kick in. (heating works fine + no weird noises coming from boiler at...

    changing secondary HE ariston a23/mffi

Thanks Terry. I appreciate your advice. Always calm collected and very helpful. When you talk I listen. I will power flush ASAP (think main HE needs a good clean as well) + gonna get someone to check boiler over once done. Thanks again Terry

    changing secondary HE ariston a23/mffi

The part I will be learning about power flushing is Google and Youtube. Time served engineers helping us guys save some cash with helpful advice and videos. (its served me well up to now). Power flushing a CH system is hardly rocket science. (+ I am a time served 25 years experienced engineer)...

    changing secondary HE ariston a23/mffi

WOW... That's a good markup for 20mins work (probably quicker for you as it was the first time I had done one). Just need to powerflush the system now. Quoted from between £300 to £500 for the job. So again rather than be robbed silly I'm gonna hire a power flush (£35 from Jewsons) + buy...

    changing secondary HE ariston a23/mffi

Job done :D 20 mins tops to drain & change. Now system working like new on HW side. Wouldn't like to think what it would have cost if I had got an engineer out to do it.

    changing secondary HE ariston a23/mffi

LOL. I didn't really explain myself very well did I. I know the physics of gravity and pressure but was just wondering if by not draining the system I would maybe be just pushing the crud elsewhere and by draining and refilling it would clear it better. Just didn't want to cause more issues...

    changing secondary HE ariston a23/mffi

How easy is it to change the secondary HE on an Ariston a23/mffi. I have been told its very easy. Do I need to bleed the whole central heating system to do it. Thanks for any help

backflush main HE ariston a23 MFFI

Thanks for the advice. Really appreciate it. Could I ask: just a rough guestimate how much a new main HE would cost for the a23MFFI fitted. Im in North Yorks, York. + Could it be the secondary HE thats the issue? Thanks for any advice

backflush main HE ariston a23 MFFI

Noisy. sounds like a ww2 plane going overhead when HW turned on. Doesnt do it with CH just when HW turned on after about 10 seconds the noise starts.

backflush main HE ariston a23 MFFI

I read somewhere that you could undo the pipes below the boiler and backflush the main HE to get rid of some crud. So I wouldnt need to touch the boiler at all if this were the case. Its just knowing which valves to turn off etc.

    Yet another loft boarding question

From a personal point of view as someone who is not a professional trade but used to work in building maintenance for many years and has renovated a few houses I would say the 22mm timbers are too thin (need at least double that) and 600mm spacing is too much (especially if your not using tongue...

    Swapping energy supplier.

They will do all the work now. You will receive a letter from your old supplier to confirm the end of the contract + if you owe them money they may want it up front before they switch you, depends how much. If its a lot they definitely will, if its a small amount they will probably transfer the...

Which particle filter on combi return?

I'm after a filter for my combi boiler central heating. I believe it is put on the return flow of the heating. Ive seen a few but they all seem to have a similar review rating for good and bad so its hard to make an educated decision. I have seen a few similar threads on here but they all...

    change wilo pump for grundfos

Hi, Could anyone tell me: To change a pump on an ariston euro combi a23 mffi is it a straight swap for a wilo to a grudfoss as I currently have a wilo and all documentation on the net is telling me the pump to use now is a grundfoss. Are the connections the same? Wiring? etc Thanks
