Could anyone tell me how to backflush a main heat exchanger on an Ariston a23/MMFI Eurocombi please. (in easy steps)

Thanks

I dont know exactly what you want to do or why!

But generally any work on the main HE should be by a gas reg person!

I read somewhere that you could undo the pipes below the boiler and backflush the main HE to get rid of some crud.
So I wouldnt need to touch the boiler at all if this were the case. Its just knowing which valves to turn off etc.

What is this "crud" you think is in your boiler?

As you will not have seen it then how do you know that it is there?

Noisy. sounds like a ww2 plane going overhead when HW turned on. Doesnt do it with CH just when HW turned on after about 10 seconds the noise starts.

That could well be lime scaling.

It could also be wrong gas settings too.

Lime scaling can only be removed by dissolving in the right acids!

Thanks for the advice. Really appreciate it.
Could I ask: just a rough guestimate how much a new main HE would cost for the a23MFFI fitted.
Im in North Yorks, York.

+ Could it be the secondary HE thats the issue?

Thanks for any advice
