    Kitchen / Extension

depending on the size of the extension you may be able to do it under your personal development rights (PDR), in which case you will not need any drawings. you can do some yourself if you like, i used excel of all things. you will however need a structual/architect to work out the loadings as a...

    Earth Wire

im not sure if you understood my post. normally you would run a 10mm earth for the water and then another 10mm earth for gas. however it is acceptable to run a single 16mm to the water and then the gas(or viceversa) as long as the cable is continuous, ie not cut/broken anywhere including the...

introducing an shed earth rod and part p

hi m8 as far as i can remember the earth on a pme system should not leave the building. you need to put an earth spike in for the shed and just supply live and neutral, so 2 core swa would be fine. use 16mm from shed cu to earth spike. disconnect earth from house cu end. hth matt

hi it does sound like a possible neutral problem, this sometimes happens if an protected neutral is in the unprotected side, but if its intermittent id rule this out. the appliances that trip the rcd, try them in the garage to see if they do it there. does the garage have its own earth, ie...
