Installing wireless CCTV - EufyCam 2?

First off - it doesn't have to be this cam. Just that this is the one I happen to be looking at. The username should give you an idea of my ability. I can drill holes and I can follow video guides but if I'm given a text list of instructions telling me to put the thingymajig in the doohickey...

    Leak under sink (photo inside)

Thanks. These caps, would they be some universal size? Or do i need to try & get under there with a ruler? Also what am i searching for when looking for these caps? I don't imagine i'll get too far with "sink caps" :) But i don't suspect they'll have too much of a technical name.

    Leak under sink (photo inside)

Hi Basically we've had a leak for some time. The water doesn't gush out. It isn't even consistent (it seems), but it does leak. Anyway, I had another look today after i'd poured the washing up water away & it looks like the leak is coming from that bit that sticks up on the left that looks...

how to prevent a tube of silicon sealent from hardening

I bought a pack of nozzles from B&Q. Unibond nozzles i think they were. I had a Wurth decorators caulk cartridge I also had a Dow Corning silicone sealant cartridge. Used the Wurth one, binned the nozzle, put the new one i'd bought on, came to use it some time later, no problem, new...

    Painting radiators?

Is specific radiator paint what should be used, or is it marketing nonsense & other paint is fine/just as good/better? Basically what to use? With the skirting & rails having just been painted (water based) white, they're nice & bright, whereas the radiators are a bit cream now, aside from...

Couple of questions about renewing locks for uPVC doors

Yeah the video i saw on how to measure said measure using the door But all other guides i read said measure the existing lock, as measuring the door is only rough guide anyway & you can get it wrong. Anyway, it's done now. Another job ticked off :)

Couple of questions about renewing locks for uPVC doors

I'm wondering how flush is flush, because they arrived today & they're VERY flush, to the point where i'm thinking are they sat TOO FAR back (on the exterior)?? I kinda of like them, but i don't like how they stick out so much on the inside. I would've liked it to have been less. It's now 9mm...

Couple of questions about renewing locks for uPVC doors

I thought about that after i hit post actually but didn't have time to edit on my breaks. It's pretty handy that you can get different colour tops with the ABS keys. For that i'd probably have to go on a trafflic light system  red for front door, yellow for side door & green for back...

Couple of questions about renewing locks for uPVC doors

Ahh I was considering them thumb turn locks but yeah we have a window next to it. Also am I missing something about the ABS locks? You say if I lose a key then id need to change all locks. Though what I've read just says you need to quote your serial number & they send you out a new key...

Couple of questions about renewing locks for uPVC doors

    1. I saw a guide saying you shouldn't have it protruding too much. This is typical of mine: It sticks out 5mm on the inside, 4mm on the outside. Is that fine? Just the piece i was reading was making it sound like it'd be better flush. 2. Is there a bad thing about having the...

Boiler pressure increasing out of nowhere. Why?

Oh I googled that filling loop thing mentioned. No wonder I couldn't find the mentioned hose. On my boiler it's a key & nut thing. Are you saying this could have been left open? I'm positive that it was put back to the locked padlock position though.

Boiler pressure increasing out of nowhere. Why?

What's wrong with the pipe work? I'm assuming you mean by the boiler & not the rad? That water look ok? I assumed (probably wrongly) it'd be more clear. And just to double check - did you mean Wooster or did your device autocorrect that from Worcester?

Boiler pressure increasing out of nowhere. Why?

I had a look tonight & i forgot the name. I know it has a "si" in it so i googled it & i think it's a Worcester Greenstar Si. Drained off more, took it to approx 1.6bar, my wife stopped by on the way home an hour or so later & from her diagram  It's about 1.9bar. I took a photo of...

Best way to trim a bit off the bottom of interior door?

Oh right hahaha ... I thought that's what was meant when the term circular saw (a round blade) was used. Just googled circular saw now & nope we certainly don't have one of them. Haha what an idiot :D

Best way to trim a bit off the bottom of interior door?

I'm sure my dad had some sort of table circular saw in the shed although I've no idea where as it's a bit of an aladdins cave. Out of interest what should I expect from a joiner for a few mm off 1 door? My first thought is that they won't get out of bed for it, but assuming they did...

Boiler pressure increasing out of nowhere. Why?

I've also noticed that on some rads the top is hotter than the bottom. I don't mean the top is scorchio while the bottom is ice cold but there's a difference. If I turn the rads up full then this difference isn't really noticeable but when I have them around the 3/3.5 setting it is. If it...

Boiler pressure increasing out of nowhere. Why?

I know it's a Worcester one. As for model id need to see it that's mentioned on any paperwork. Could this still apply then (when it hasn't been touched - it can just randomly one day 14 months down the line happen out of the blue)?

Best way to trim a bit off the bottom of interior door?

Thanks for the rapid replies. I don't actually know how much to take off. The carpet doesn't drown the base of the door so I'm guessing only a few mm. Although it'll be a bit of a PITA to take 1mm off each time & then put the door back on so id probably bank on 3mm for the first try...

Boiler pressure increasing out of nowhere. Why?

I'll be honest - I don't know what a filling loop is. But if it helps, I've not meddled with the system at all aside from putting some inhibitor in mid December. It's been fine since. Only today has there been a difference. Thanks for the rapid response too.
