Yes, it's definitely the sunlight, only happens in the morning when the sun is that side of the house and if I pull my car up right across the gate entrance so that the 'beam' is in the shadow of the car the gates will then shut.

Thanks for the responses, unfortunately using a wired dialler isn't an option as the cable routing would be a nightmare. You program the linked one by sending the unit text messages (looks pretty simple in the video) I'll probably give it a go and will feedback here Cheers
