Hi woody The source of the damp was failed sealant on the bathroom tiles so it will be fixed once the tiles are replaced. It is already feeling dryer this morning which is good. Is there anything I can do to aid the drying process? Or am I better to just leave it?

Is there a reason I should replace the wood? Is there any reason I shouldn't just cut back the wood and seal the bare wood level with the window? I suppose if the rot continues beneath the window, I would need to to get the window removed and replace all the wood?

Thats more like it! Lloyd look is described to be "twisted Kraft paper round a metal wire" however, I see no evidence of the metal wire, just the twisted Kraft paper. Don't suppose there is any way to buy this in sheets? I guess it's only made to measure.
