Hi

I am looking to install coving in my bathroom, but there is a ceiling mounted switch as you normally get in bathrooms in the way.

What is the standard way of dealing with this? Do I just do mitred edges either side of it? Or cut a recess into the coving? Seems to me that either way would look like a bit of a bodge, any advise appreciated.

Thanks

Russell

Actually dosent look quite as bad as I thought it would, however I think my switch is closer to the wall, so will be more obvious

Move the switch. It will likely need a shorter cable, so all it involves is a new hole to drop it through. If necessary, you can run the string through a screwed hook in the architrave, to bring it back to the wall.
