Leak coming from toilet pan nuts

Do you think just a tighten on the flush valve nut might do it ? When you reseal the flush valve will I need a new washer ?

Leak coming from toilet pan nuts

No this is not when flushed as I know if that is the issue its the donut washer. This is leaking constantly, a small drip, but it accumulated a pool under the toilet over night. I have seen a vid showing a drip running off one of the connecting bolts.

Leak coming from toilet pan nuts

I have a leak on a toilet. It is dripping from the nuts which hold the pan and the cistern together. I haven’t been out to look yet but wondered if something might have broken in terms of the ceramic. Will the fix be to just tighten the nuts ?

I suppose I do need to find out whether the UFH is leaking before I switch to a new boiler.

    Main heat exchanger small leak

Well it has been ongoing for ages and in the summer when the heating is not on the pressure doesn't drop. We have no visible area of damp in the ceilings. The area we cannot tell is the UFH circuit in the kitchen. This is plastic pipe in concrete. Can this pipe leak ? It is about 18 yrs old...

    Main heat exchanger small leak

I have a valiant 837 eco combi. It is 18 yo this April. It has been loosing pressure now for a year approx. I have no leaks on my system and so the engineer thinks it is the heat ex. He recommended using some leak sealer and I think that slowed the leak down. It is loosing pressure over a...

Water in my rear van door

I changed my reg plate bulbs today and inside the door I had a load of rusty water. For years when I open this door I have gotten a water swilling noise and I thought it was a store of water for the van (screen wash, etc). So didn't think anything about it. But it is water that has tracked in...

    Grohe kitchen mono tap stiff

I think my tap is the Grohe Bau curve 2017 model onwards. So the cartridge is 46963000. It costs on eBay £53 delivered. A new Grohe tap (prob the same design) at screw fix is £65. Any idea why the cartridges are so expensive ? I may as well buy new as I can change myself. Seems a waste.

Ceramic hob stays on full blast

I have an unbranded hob from magnet kitchens I think. It's maybe 4 yrs old. The front right hob is just on full all the time, so I have to switch the hob off at the main switch on the wall. Is it an issue that can be repaired or do I just fit a new hob ?

    Underpinn bay window

Ok, thanks Noseall. It was pretty easy going doing this today. About 40 mins. To get down and under I will prob have to make the whole area bigger. Do you know roughly how deep I will need to go below the current foundation ? Am I looking at going the same depth again ? So another 600mm...

    Underpinn bay window

I am underpinning my bay window. I dug out the first section today and got down to the brick spread foundation. I am down 650mm to the top of the brick spread foundation. Do I now need to go under this foundation or could I just clean up what I’ve done and add the concrete.. the bay has...

    Reroof and adding insulation

No regs built in 1900. Spoke to BC today and I can only fit the maximum amount which the current roof can take. So I don't need to go to 150mm kingspan. Max amount will be 50-75mm.
