Sounds like the heater might not be working. As you say, it is greasy and not washing very well - the flashing lights could be the error code for a faulty heater?

I would check the rear drum bearing (teardrop shape bronze bearing) as this could have worn away and cause the squeaking. The silver bits could be coming from the heater element insulation. Lee

If the fridge is getting too cold the compressor must be OK, so it could be the main PCB or the sensor. Lee

It could well be the PCB, but you could also check the motor or door lock, as these may have caused the board to fail. Lee

Hi Cleahy, It sounds as if the drain pump is not pumping out the water and causing an error code message. The drain pump could be faulty or the impeller isn't turning. I hope that helps, Lee
