Antique custom flush pipe - 34.8mm??

Hello, Can the brass adapter shown in below photo still be purchased? If so, what is the part called or what is its British Standard number? I have searched online but nothing came up. Thanks in advance.

Thank you. By the way, why are hoppers no longer legal?

Soil stack pipe into ground level gully

I don't like the idea of connecting wastes (wash basin and bath) to a soil sack pipe because I imagine sewer smell could come into the building. A separate 50mm stack sounds good. Should a trap be installed at the base of this 50mm stack? Thanks.

Soil stack pipe into ground level gully

Greetings everyone. I wish to convert one of my property's ground level open gullies (connected to main foul drainage) for external soil stack pipe use but I understand that the base of a soil stack has to be a rest bend, not a trap. So, if I replace the existing trap with a new rest bend...

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll look into the Baxi 600. Are there anymore models like this?

Is there a combi boiler with pipe outlets that go up?

Sounds good but I don't think the cupboard in my kitchen has enough depth for a stand off jig + boiler.

Is there a combi boiler with pipe outlets that go up?

Hello, Is there such a boiler available on the market? Considering to put a combi boiler in the kitchen (downstairs) but I want pipes that go up, not down, as the bathroom is located upstairs. I want to keep the hot water pipe lengths as short a possible - the shorter the better. I think...

    What is Tarred Gaskin?

I will be replacing some underground drainage pipes from the gulley outside my kitchen to the manhole. I'm thinking to buy traditional glazed clay pipes (mortar joint) as the 100-year old company WT Knowles still manufacture them. After researching online and books I found out that tarred...

    Unvented vs vented cylinder

I'm with bernardgreen on this. I don't like the thought of having a pressurised system in my house. What if the relief valve gets stuck? I also prefer gentle hot-water flow to the basins and bath. However, I'm not sure about a plate heat exchanger with a traditional cylinder as I think it was...

Have you ever considered about buying a new Rayburn with a back boiler?

Isn't the hot water side of a combi boiler an instantaneous water heater?

    Inglenook question

Hello, I wish to install a cast iron cooker in the inglenook in my kitchen. However, the brick arch lintel is too low, so I need to raise it. The house was built around 1880. Below are 2 photos. In the second photo, there appears to be 'mini-lintel' made from stone (blue arrow), at 90 degrees...

Cast iron range cooker: Stored heat v Forced draught burner

Hello, I'm looking for a cast-iron cooker (gas) but not sure which one to buy. Would appreciate all the advice. According to the article below (see link below), not every cast iron range cooker works in the same way, some are stored heat cookers (atmospheric burner), others are Forced draught...

Secondary DHW loop on a combi?

Dan, Well, I thought you had to buy a 'sealed' boiler if you wanted an unvented cylinder. I didn’t realise that an OV boiler with an F & E tank could be used. OK maybe not ‘intermediate’ but I can’t think of a good word. :)
