    How to Plaster or Skim and Repair in Tight Spots?

    This is above the hob where the electrician wired it up. I used the deep fill plaster. I tried using skim and repair with filling knives but because of the tight area there are ridges or my poor technique. Is it a case of rubbing down the area to get it smooth?     About a 10cm squared hole in felt. It seems a tile has moved and a bird got in. Insulation will also need replacing in that area. A small area of felt has also come down in another area, no leaks though. Insurance company quoted £450 if claim is processed. Sloping roof and end terrace. Thanks
